Hiking
- Explain and demonstrate the main points of good hiking practice.
- Submit to the Troop Leader/Outfit Advisor and Counselor a written plan for a 10-kilometer hike, including the following: map routes, activities along the way, clothing and equipment needed, and meals.
- Take five hikes on five separate days within a period of six months, including one overnight hike. These hikes should be done progressively and cover a total of 50 kilometers, with no single hike exceeding 15 kilometers.
- After sufficient training, complete a 20-kilometer hike in one day.
- Within a month of the final hike, submit a short report of each of your six hikes, including dates, routes, purposes and objectives, weather conditions, and interesting things and places seen.
